Summer Vacation in Rochester, New York

In July 2015, my dad and I went on a trip to Rochester, New York for my great-aunt's funeral. Technically, we stayed at a house in Webster, New York where my dad's cousin Jerry Spronz lives, along with his wife Jackie and his daughter Lela. Another cousin of my dad also stayed at that house. His name is Gary Spronz, who actually came from California. On the first day after we arrived there, the first part of the funeral was a visitation at a funeral home where we could see lots of our cousins, some we have not met before. On the second day, the next part of the event was the service located at St. Anne's Church in Rochester, which we often visited in our previous trips. After the service on the same day, we had a lunch reception at the same house as we stayed. In addition, we also had a chance to visit many fun places such as the Durand Eastman Beach, a hobby shop called Dan's Crafts & Things, the Strong National Museum of Play, and the Goodman Street Yard where I could see lots of modern train action. That's the nice thing about trips because you would not only watch real trains in action but also visit some train stores and buy a train item as a souvenir. Although it was sad to see my dad's last surviving aunt passing away, it was so exciting to visit the wonderful city of Rochester, my kind of place!
