YouTube Video Update - Brunswick Heritage Museum & Point of Rocks Station

For my 26th birthday in 2022, I decided to visit the Brunswick Heritage Museum in Brunswick, Maryland, which is about 32 miles west from my home. The museum preserves the history of the town with a lot of exhibits and the big HO scale train layout that is modeled after the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad’s Metropolitan Subdivision.

The next location I wanted to visit is an old B&O station in Point of Rocks, Maryland. It is now used as a commuter rail stop for the MARC trains. Just after we arrived, we caught a westbound Amtrak Capitol Limited passing through. Unfortunately, my camera’s view was mostly blocked by a lot of leaves on the trees, so I could not add it to this video. However, I met a small group of young railroad fans waiting to see the next train and was very excited to talk with them on the platform. A couple of hours later, I thought I couldn’t find a train and was about to leave home when I heard an unmistakable horn blast. What a surprise! I finally caught an eastbound CSX automotive freight. You can see almost every railroad logo printed on the auto carriers.

Perhaps I may come back to Point of Rocks in the autumn for a more picturesque view of the trains. Still, I was lucky to see at least one train on my birthday!
