Thomas & Friends YouTube Documentary

Well, this is our very last day of the controversial year 2020. The coronavirus pandemic has psychologically and financially "caused confusion and delay" around the world. To this day, over 341,000 Americans were killed and over 19.6 million cases have been reported in the United States. We don't know which month the COVID-19 vaccine will be available to the less vulnerable general public, but we just have to be very cautious and patient until all those traditional events and vacations are safe enough to be legitimately retrieved. Although many places are reopened for economic reasons, there is nothing more crucial than wearing a face mask and being socially distanced at least 6 feet apart. Despite the upcoming New Year of 2021, there is currently no determined ending of the quarantine that protects us from the lethally incurable but preventable disease.

Anyway, I am very thankful to receive a lot more Facebook likes than before because of all the computer technology we use much more often while staying at home. As far as railroading goes, there are some exciting things to happen in the New Year. For example, it will commemorate the 50th anniversary of Amtrak, the only interstate railroad carrying passengers across our nation. Trainspotters, what do you expect for 2021? Any other railroad birthdays?

Here is my very last thing to share in honor of Thomas & Friends' 75th anniversary. This is an official half-hour documentary covering the history from the humble beginnings with a sick child's story to the extremely popular TV show with so many fans aging both young and old. This was originally published in 2015 for the 70th anniversary, but it's still an informative video covering the original model series and the fully computer-animated CGI productions as well as kids' merchandise, including the Thomas Wooden Railway toy trains. You'll meet some familiar people such as Christopher Awdry (son of Railway Series author Rev. Wilbert Awdry) and Rick Siggelkow, co-creator of Shining Time Station. So hop on board for a non-stop journey to the very last hour of 2020. Thank you for all of your support and Happy New Year, everyone!
