Railroad Trains for the Soul: More RTA Commuter Trains

This is the third commuter rail paint scheme prior to Metra's official debut. It's an orange and brown livery with RTA markings seen on one of the Bombardier-built Highliner electric multiple unit (EMU) coaches. Originally, the St. Louis Car Company built the first fleet of Highliners, which were painted in the same color scheme but with the Illinois Central logos. The IC had its electrified commuter line that these coaches were intended for. This unique RTA scheme was also used on some of the double-decker Gallery coaches built by Pullman. That's about all the pre-Metra paint schemes I've ever seen.
