My New EMD 100th Anniversary Socks

Look at my new pair of socks with Electro-Motive Diesel's 100th anniversary logos! Since Caterpillar acquired EMD in 2010, this would be a perfect mix with my CAT underwear! Don't like CAT's ownership of EMD? No problem at all. We currently have a 2002 model of the Chevrolet Monte Carlo automobile. Chevy is still owned by General Motors, the former parent company of EMD. Our car was manufactured during the last years of GM's Electro-Motive Division, which is a great impression to me as an EMD locomotive fan.

Interestingly, MTH used to make a lot of model trains with CAT logos (including the Electro-Motive F3, F40PH, and SD90MAC diesel locomotives), even before EMD became a division of Caterpillar. This was probably a coincidence. It also happened before 2012 when an SD70ACe diesel was painted in the yellow and black company colors. MTH did offer models of that locomotive, too. I'm so glad to have an EMD centennial souvenir!
