Gold Medal of Horsepower - ALCO C-855 & C-855B

The Gold Medal of Horsepower goes to two of the only ALCO C-855 diesel-electric locomotives ever built as well as the lone cabless C-855B unit! Union Pacific was the only railroad experimenting with this unusual A-B-A set. With all six diesel engines onboard (2,750 hp each), the three C-855 locomotives could produce up to a jaw-dropping 16,500 hp!
