End of 2019 Announcements
Hello trainspotters,
As 2019 comes to a close, I have some exciting news to share.
First of all, LaRosa's Trains has successfully joined the Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA), one of the finest model train organizations in the world! It should be noted that the club will commemorate 50 years of its existence. For that reason, one of the nice things about the LCCA is that it includes the Lionel Digital Catalog Archives (1900-1995), which were originally developed by Hybrid Systems Ltd., Inc. HSL used to offer the Lionel Digital Archives until 2014 when the license expired. But after a few years of silence, HSL announced that the LCCA would acquire the rights of the Archives. This is an excellent idea for those people who have not purchased these historic products. I’m really excited to look at all the Lionel catalogs by the end of my membership. If you're interested in becoming a club member, please visit the LCCA on the web at https://www.lionelcollectors.org/. I highly recommend it for those of you who want to browse the complete history of all the Lionel products!
Second of all, I also subscribed to Trains Magazine to stay in touch with the railroad news. The year 2020 will commemorate 80 years of the magazine. As a result, I will be creating a photo collection of all my Trains magazines onto a new webpage of the LaRosa’s Trains website. More details about it will be available after New Year’s Day. Similarly, I will also create a photo webpage of the Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends VHS/DVD collection as part of its 75th anniversary. It has been nearly 75 years since the Reverend Wilbert Awdry wrote the first book of the Railway Series, the precursor to the popular TV show. Again, more details will be available soon. Thank you Facebook fans for your support of the LaRosa’s Trains page throughout the year. Stay safe as we move into the 2020's.
Happy New Year and New Decade everyone! I’ll see you all again in 2020!
Your trainspotting friend, Brian
