A Gold-Plated Lionel Corporation Tinplate 400E

Hey folks,

Just want to show you something that I posted to MTH on Facebook in April of this year. As many of you already know, the Lionel Standard Gauge 400E steam locomotive is Mike Wolf's favorite engine. As a result, I wanted to post something special to celebrate Mike's birthday, which is 3 months ago. Also, as many of you probably know, MTH offered some special gold-plated items from all 3 product lines (Premier, RailKing, & Tinplate Traditions) to celebrate the new millennium in 2000. However, I'm thinking of Mike's favorite locomotive that should have been made with gold plating for the new millennium back in 2000. This is my drawing and coloring of the gold-plated 400E steam engine, but this isn't my first coloring of that engine because I had drawn and colored the 400E before. In fact, I do have some stories about my train colorings from November 2015. They are available in the "Archive" section of "Brian's Blog" in my website. There should definitely be that gold-plated engine someday. Maybe MTH can release it for its 50th anniversary in 2030 or for Lionel's 125th anniversary in 2025. That's a five-year difference in these anniversaries I'm thinking of. Hope my coloring looks nice.
