"The General"
Yesterday, my family and I went to the AFI (American Film Institute) Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in Silver Spring, Maryland to watch a special silent film called "The General", which was released in 1926. The General is a legendary steam locomotive that was first built in 1855 and has a 4-4-0 wheel arrangement. The setting of this film took place during the Civil War. Buster Keaton was the main actor who played as Johnnie Gray, the engineer of the General. Because this is a silent film, it was accompanied by a live orchestra performing inside the theater. We really had a lot of fun watching this film!
