Museum of Science & Industry

In the Summer of 2012, we went to my cousin's wedding in Wisconsin, which was really fun. After this exciting wedding, we drove down to Chicago, Illinois. Actually, my parents used to live in Chicago for 15 to 17 years in the 70s and 80s which is where they met each other before they got married. It had been 25 years since they last lived in Chicago before that time. One of my favorites in Chicago is the Sears Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the nation, and one of the best if not the best museum I've ever visited: the Museum of Science & Industry! When we arrived in Chicago, we thought we could go to the museum. But when we got there, we had to pay for parking and for the admission tickets. Back then, people had free admission to go there but it costs money for any admission today. Another problem was that it closes at 5:30 PM which was too early and it was pretty much of a bummer, in my opinion. Anyway, we spent a few minutes at the museum just before it closed. We ended up buying some items and souvenirs at a gift shop. We decided to come back there the next day. Later that evening, we had a little tour from our parents about what they used to do back in Chicago. Overnight, we stayed at a hotel just in the downtown of this city.

Next day, we got back at the museum as first thing in the morning. There are lots of exciting exhibits you might see in the museum. My favorites are the Pioneer Zephyr, a very fast diesel-powered streamliner, and the Great Train Story, a large HO scale layout which features lots of trains, structures, vehicles, and so on. The Museum of Science & Industry has everything: transportation, storms, chemistry, genetics, and lots of other science stuff that you might have learned at school. We spent all day here seeing lots of exhibits and educational facts. Here are some photos I took in this museum.
